In the year 2002 Stefano “Saint“ Paolucci founded REDEEM, initially just for fun and to have a beer with his friends. It actually became way more serious. REDEEM's debut album “Eleven“ thrilled both critics and listeners. The first video “Alive“ achieved heavy rotation in Swiss MTV/Viva, and climbed to number 56 in radio airplay charts. This was a significant “succès d'estime“. All of a suddden, REDEEM shared stages with bands such as 3 Doors Down, Die Toten Hosen, Daughtry or Gotthard at huge shows accross Europe. Now the new album “999“ and the single “Promises“ are ready for take off, with the UK set to be a major landing zone.
“Eleven“ was obviously heavily influenced by the US scene - bands such as 3 Doors Down, Nickelback, or Paolucci's favourites Pearl Jam left their marks. REDEEM supported 3 Doors Down in Germany, Swizerland and Holland, toured with Gotthard, Daughtry, Magnum, and opened for Die Toten Hosen.“We experienced a lot on these tours“ remembers singer, songwriter and mastermind Paolucci, and he proudly adds: “We had to satisfy the crowd just by our songs, and it worked.“ One listen to the tracks on offer here will leave you in no doubt as to why.
After a long run of shows, Stefano Paolucci, drummer Simon Steiner and bass player Pom Albisser took a well-earned rest, to work on new songs for “999“. The trio intentionally enlarged their musical spectrum. The outcome was obviously convincing, and REDEEM gathered quite an impressive group of internationally well known musicians, songwriters, producers, mixers and mastering engineers to contribute to “999“.
